A city where Christianity took its root | Nagasaki Prefecture

There are a number of hidden Christian sites in Nagasaki, including ten villages, remains of a castle, and a cathedral, dating from the 17th to 19th centuries. They reflect the era of the prohibition of the Christian faith, during which 26 martyrs were executed, as well as the activities of Christian communities.
