One of the great castles of Japan, Osaka Castle is an iconic sightseeing spot, home to a variety of events as well as parks and flowers to be enjoyed in every season.  Built in the late 16th century, Osaka Castle was the center of power for Hideyoshi Toyotomi, an Imperial Regent known as one of the unifiers of Japan for his role in ending centuries of turmoil.
